My last convention before I left for USA. Conventicon has made itself a reputation for an awesome web presentation and interesting propagation. Still the result might be a bit disappointing as only about a half the people that came last year came this year, so it was smaller event though the programme was one highlight after another. I myself did two workshops which went in typical StoryCon spirit for which I was happy.

Summer before RIT

After Advik the summer was slowly coming to an end for me. I slowly started to pack and get everything ready in the coming weeks as the date of my flight to the USA came closer. But before the major packing one of our friends from America came to Europe for visit and he stayed with us for five days. In these five days we went through Prague and visited Berlin. For me it was a great goodbye to Prague and Berlin as I visited familiar places and entered few new places which I never seen before. Although I knew Prague very well, still the biggest darkness is under the candle so I found many new things and again realized how Prague is beautiful. I felt like reassuring myself of that fact. So now together with Berlin I have a lot of new photos to share with others.

After all this travel the time finally came for my last week in Czech republic. The last weekend was very interesting as there was a convention (Conventicon) which I attended as part of the staff. Quiet strange that it shall all end with a convention as conventions pretty much directed my life for the last two years. Well, anyway about Conventicon will be my next post quickly followed by post on my journey to RIT.

Original post blogged on b2evolution.

From 28th July to 1st August an anime convention named Advik was taking place in Prague. This was a long awaited event and I played a part in organizing the convention.

Discovering RIT

Back in 2007, the second and last year of my studies in USA I was a Junior at Edgemont High School I was preparing like the rest of my classmates for college. After few discussions RIT came up as one of the better options for me. That summer while traveling around US I convinced my parents that when returning from Niagara falls we should make a stop at Rochester and check out RIT. We arranged a visit and after a brief session about the school we toured the campus. It didn't took long until the entire family fell in love with the campus. My parents wanted to go to college again and I knew where I wanted to go after graduation.

Hello everybody and welcome to my personal blog!

Today I got one extra reason to make this blog so briefly I'm going to explain why and what to expect from this blog.

Main reason for this blog is that I'm going to study to USA, since I'm from Europe that's quiet a long way. I studied in USA three years ago and for that time (pre-facebook era) I had a website set-up to keep in touch. This time (and now primary reason for this blog) I also want to write how I got to college and give useful tips for future applicants and also provide first-hand experiences from RIT, which after today will be more plentiful as I have been accepted as on-floor member to the International house and as an off-floor member to the Computer science house.

Original post blogged on b2evolution.
